Season Planning

Seasonal Expectations

Fireworks is a compressed retail business. Planning around setup, peak traffic, replenishment, and cleanup matters as much as opening inventory.

Pre-Season

Use the weeks before opening to finish permits, merchandising plans, staffing, inventory organization, pricing, signage, and payment setup.

  • Confirm your legal selling dates for the location.
  • Stage inventory by category.
  • Prepare a replenishment plan.
  • Make sure staff knows your top products.

During the Season

Expect customer traffic and product movement to accelerate as the holiday approaches.

  • Watch fast-moving categories closely.
  • Keep displays full without overloading them.
  • Move reserve inventory forward as shelves empty.
  • Review sales and stock every day.

After the Season

Closeout is the best time to capture what you learned while it is still fresh.

  • Count remaining inventory.
  • Record top and slow sellers.
  • Note staffing and operational issues.
  • Start next-season buying notes immediately.
